Tim M's '57 oval- looks pretty solid in this picture.

Some problems we found after pulling it apart.

The pan was really bad- no shock towers, no throttle or clutch guide tubes...

The stripped-down body...

So Tim M. and Glenn took a road trip to North Carolina to pick up this '56.

Beginning body work stages...

...in the first coat of primer after sand blasting.

Fitting the doors, fenders, hood and decklid to the body.

Notice how Tim grafted in the rag section on the donor car.

Tim fixes the dents and dings as he prepares for the first coat of sanding primer to further straighten the panels.

The engine is ready to go!

A little dust to blow-off and the chassis is ready too!

Ready for another coat of primer.

All wet-sanded and she's ready for sealer, last coat of primer and paint

Here she is in the first coat of paint (Texas Brown) and the beginning of wetsanding......

engine and wiring is in....

Tim installs the ignition switch, light switch, wiper switch and speedo.

Here's the car with it's original moldings, door handles, symbols, etc. All that's left to do is the headliner and decklid, then she's off to Tim M. for final assembly.

Here she is going home- Tim M, Tim W., and Glenn picked her up and will be putting on those finishing touches!
Congrats Tim M.!
